The e-Learning Lounge is located in Room 302  (on the 3rd floor of the Foreign Language Teaching & Resource Center).


Open hours

Monday to Friday (closed on holidays)

  • Morning sessions: 09:00 – 12:00
  • Afternoon sessions: 13:00 – 16:00

(Lunch Break: 12:00 – 13:00)

Readers who would like to keep studying during the lunch break may go to R205.

For readers who would like to use books and materials, please come during the opening hours of e-Learning Lounge.

Circulation Service

 Only full-time faculty can check items out. For more information, please see Foreign Language Teaching & Resource Center circulation services.

 All materials can be used in the Lounge only. If it is not convenient for you to come during the day, please refer to our Extended Evening Service.




















The e-Learning Lounge has 12 seats with computers installed for computer assisted language learning. Different types of software and websites can be accessed from the computers.



E-freeway is a portal site for English learning. A wide range of language learning resources in listening, reading, speaking and writing are available on the website.



MyET is a program for practicing English speaking. It can analyze your English speech based on your pronunciation, pitch, timing and emphasis, and pinpoint problems to individual sounds. After the speaking practice, you receive a score and specific feedback on how to improve your speaking.



CNN is an interactive learning website for CNN news. Users can practice English via the new clips and the exercises on the website.



Live ABC is an interactive learning website for daily English. Users can learn how to use English properly in various real-life situations.
