History and Misson

 

Our History in Brief

  • Established in 1965 under the name of the Language Laboratory;
  • Moved into Shin-Sheng Building in February 1968;
  • Renamed to the Audio-Visual Educational Center in 1976;
  • Moved to the Current Location on Mahogany Avenue in 1982;
  • Renamed as the Foreign Language Teaching and Resource Center in 2011.

  • To collect resources for language learning and teaching
  • To provide online language courses for self-study
  • To provide audio-visual and electronic learning spaces
  • To maintain audio-visual equipment
  • To offer courses in Asian languages except Japanese

LITE

Since 2014, the Foreign Language Teaching and Resource Center (FLTC) has started to develop its online courses and learning activities under the guiding principles of LITELeadership, Innovation, Teamwork, and Empowermentin tune with its ongoing devotion to providing better services and courses to arouse language learners' interest and to improve their language skills. All the courses and services at FLTC aim to cultivate language learners' Leadership, Innovation, Teamwork, and Empowerment.
